Grant Match is my free quiz. You answer ten questions and it checks your answers against a list of down payment programs. It takes a few minutes. Nobody calls you and nobody pulls your credit.

read the rules

Every program has rules about who can use it. Open the program's own website and find each rule below. Tap your answer as you go. "Not sure" is a fine answer for now.

check for a required class

Many programs make you finish a homebuyer class before you close. Each program decides which classes it accepts. Find that out before you pay for one. Ask how long your certificate is good for too, because some expire.

save your lender list

Most programs only work with lenders they have approved. If your lender is not on the list, you cannot use the money. Find each program's lender list and save it here. You use it in month 7 when you shop for lenders.

Only count programs you can use together. Some can be combined and some cannot. Ask each program before you count more than one.
